Putumayo. A cocaine hydrochloride laboratory was found and destroyed by units of the National Navy in conjunction with personnel of the National Army, in the municipality of Puerto Caicedo, in the department of Putumayo.
The operation was carried out by troops of the Southern Naval Force and the National Army, who found the structure in wood that had the capacity to process about a half ton of cocaine hydrochloride monthly.
Inside the structure there were 1,660 gallons of liquid precursors, including 1,585 gallons of potassium permanganate and 350 kilograms of solid precursors for the production of alkaloids.
During the operation, no arrests were made. The laboratory was destroyed and the materials were put into custody of the authorities.
So far this year, the Naval Force of the South has achieved the discovery of more than 40 thousand kilograms of solid precursors and more than 6 thousand gallons of liquid precursors.
