Sucre. In recent hours the National Navy evacuated a member of the community of Isla Múcura, who had suffered a wound in his right hand.
The Coast Guard Station of Coveñas received a call from an inhabitant of the community of Isla Múcura about one of its inhabitants who had a serious wound. A Rapid Reaction unit was immediately arranged to evacuate him, in the company of a relative, towards the hamlet Berrugas, in the department of Sucre, where he was taken by land to the Assistance Center of this district, where he would receive the relevant medical assistance.
The National Navy will continue to provide support and security to the island populations of the Colombian Caribbean and reaffirms availability 24 hours a day on line 146 to report any emergency situation.
