Cartagena. In recent hours, units of the National Navy in an operation of search and control of area, coordinated with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Office of the Prosecutor, found 699.37 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride hidden in a collection center in Tierra Bomba (Bolivar) .
Troops of the National Navy arrived at the island of Tierra Bomba, an insular territory of Cartagena, where they found a collection center belonging to a drug trafficking group, in which 25 sacks containing 679 rectangular packages were hidden inside.
The material was taken to the facilities of the Naval Base ARC "Bolívar", where the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) conducted the Preliminary Initial Test - PIPH, which gave positive results for 699.37 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The drug belonged to the organized armed group known as the "Clan del Golfo" that would send the shipment to Europe, where it would cost 42 million dollars.
So far this year, 13.3 tons of cocaine hydrochloride have been found, thanks to the permanent controls conducted by the Caribbean Naval Force in its operations zone.
