Chocó. A minor, 8, was transferred on a C-208B Caravan medicalized plane from the Air Combat Command No. 5, in the capital of the department of Chocó, to Bogotá, due to sickle cell anemia that deteriorated his state of health.
Due to the medical treatment required by the patient and the problems take him to Quibdó, the Colombian Air Force, through its aircraft and crews, transferred the child, who will be treated at the Military Hospital in Bogotá.
Coordination for this humanitarian mission were carried out through the National Personnel Recovery Center and the Cacom-5, with the hospital in Quibdó, to provide an adequate treatment according to the child's diagnosis.
