The National Navy found 12 million pesos and explosives in the village La Carpa in the municipality of San José del Guaviare, when troops carried out, together with the National Army, operations of interdiction, surveillance, search and control in the area.
An individual drove a motorcycle by the sector, when noticing the presence of the troops, he threw a backpack on the side of the road and started the escape.
Immediately a group of men specialized in explosives was set up to verify the sector and rule out any risk to the population. After a thorough review in the place, it was possible to find the backpack left by the individual, which had been hidden in the brush. Inside troops found 12 million pesos in cash, 120 grams of explosives type R1 and 200 grams of aluminum sulfate.
The material was put into custody of the 20th Sectional URI Prosecutor's Office in San José del Guaviare.
