In the first operation, after receiving the call of the community about a possible case of cattle theft, the national Army and the National Police activated a reaction plan, managing to prevent criminals from stealing Brahman cattle.
The events occurred in the village Santa Hercilia, municipality of San Luis de Palenque, in the afternoon, where two people had arrived at a farm, allegedly carrying small firearms, intimidated and tied three people, locked 51 animals in the corrals while vehicles arrived to embark the cattle.
Upon receiving the information, troops of the Mounted Cavalry Group No. 16 "Guias del Casanare" and agents of the police station, went to the place, where the individuals realized that the community had alerted the authorities and decided to escape.
In the second operation, carried out in the village of La Manga of the municipality of Hato Corozal, in the department of Casanare, troops of this same cavalry unit in coordination with agents of the police station of the aforementioned municipality, recovered a Kubota tractor, model 2013, which had been stolen last April 3 on a farm in the village of San Nicolás, of that municipality, after four individuals intimidated the residents of that building and proceeded to take the agricultural machine.
