Operations carried out by troops of the National Army against the criminal structure of alias "Guacho" left in recent hours the discovery, prosecution and neutralization of two laboratories used for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, valued at more than 1,490 million pesos, in Tumaco, Department of Nariño.
During the operation, three helicopters UH-60 and one HUEY II of the Air Assault Aviation Division of the National Army, in addition to a Harpy helicopter of the Colombian Air Force, provided security to the troops that conducted ground maneuvers in the hamlets Brisas Mataje and La Playa of the municipality of Tumaco, where the laboratories belonging to the Residual Organized Armed Group "Oliver Sinisterra" had been built.
Members of the Joint Task Force Hercules, together with troops of the Rapid Deployment Force No. 2 and the Anti-Narcotics Brigade, in coordination with the National Police Narcotics Directorate, found the first laboratory in the Brisas de Mataje hamlet with three structures for the production of cocaine hydrochloride, in which troops found 35 kilos of processed cocaine hydrochloride, 250 gallons of DIESEL, 3 “Martianos” distillation towers, 9 microwaves, a cooler, a power plant and a sealing machine.
In addition, a pressing machine was found, along with 25 tanks of 500 liters, 15 barrels of 55 gallons, 50 barrels of 25 gallons, 4 rolls of Plastic wrap of 1500-meters, 3 precision scales, 3 strainers, a 20-pound gas cylinder and an industrial stove of four positions. This illegal structure was valued at $ 779,435,000.
In the same way, the soldiers neutralized another laboratory with two structures for the storage of chemical precursors in the hamlet La Playa, where troops found 2,750 gallons of acetone, three Martians (distillation towers), two packers - blowers, a power plant. The losses for the organized crime with the neutralization of this laboratory are of $ 712,900,000 pesos. In the operation, no captures were reported.
