Valle del Cauca. The National Navy continues holding Development Support Days in the most vulnerable communities of the Colombian Pacific, this time in the hamlet Córdoba, in the municipality of Buenaventura, more than 700 inhabitants, including children, adolescents and adults, improved their quality of life.
Thanks to the work the Navy infantry Brigade No. 2 the activity counted on the support and participation of different public and private institutions in the Buenaventura district, including: Bavaria SA, Postobón, the Fundación Colombia Solidaria, the Fundación Salud Afro IPS, the Fundación Agua Dulce, Tridelco Foundation, Inflables Vallejo, the Foundation Angels for Colombia, amor and sonrisas Foundation, the Maestro Ali Garcés foundation and the National registry.
At eight a.m. the trip from Buenaventura begun. 40 specialists provided medical care in general medicine, oral hygiene, dentistry, pediatrics, gynecology and psychology, who provided their services to the inhabitants and gave them prescribed medicines at no cost.
During the event, personnel of the Marine Infantry and Support Battalion N ° 2 carried out recreational activities for the youngest, dogs care, as well as manicure, pedicure and beauty for the women.
The inhabitants of the hamlet Córdoba thanked the National Navy for this type of activities, which contribute to the social development of the region, strengthening the bonds of cooperation of the community and the Institution.
