Department of Antioquia. In recent hours, units of the National Navy in an operation to control the sea in the waters of the Gulf of Urabá, found 304 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride that had as final destination Valencia, Spain.
The operation was carried out in the area of the bay of Turbo, Department of Antioquia, where a Portuguese ship was inspected, and 12 dark bags were found by troops inside a container.
This material was taken to the facilities of the Urabá Coastguard Station to be inspected, finding 304 rectangular packages inside. The Technical Corps of Investigation -CTI - conducted the Preliminary Identification Test - PIPH-, confirming cocaine hydrochloride.
The material was put into custody of the authority. During the operation no captures were made.
