Putumayo. In territorial control operations in coordination with the National Army, it was possible to recover four minors who had been recruited, apparently by members of the Residual Organized Armed Group of the First Front of the FARC.
The four minors, 14, 16 and 17 years old, expressed their will to leave the ranks of this criminal group and looked for the men of the National Navy in the municipality of Puerto Leguizamo, in the department of Putumayo. One of the minors arrived with her son of 18 months in her arms.
The young people stated that they had been recruited and that were being mistreated, forced to be part of this Residual Organized Armed Group.
The minors were under the command of alias 'Cacha' or 'Cachaco', leader of the First Front Commission and were being forced to carry out criminal activities on the Putumayo River. With the recovery of these minors it is possible to hit the criminal operations of this illegal organization.
The minors entered the process for the restoration of their rights with the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute, ICBF.
The National Navy rejects the forced recruitment of minors by illegal armed groups that commit crimes in the region and stays committed to the defense of life and human rights of children, fighting any type of crime that alter the tranquility in this area of the country.
