The National Training Center, the School of Soldiers and the municipal Mayor's Office, along with the Arturo Calle Foundation continue to contribute to the well-being of the residents of Nilo, Cundinamarca and the surrounding villages.
With a Development Support Day, people of all ages benefited from medical services in the specialties of pediatrics, gynecology, audiometry, physiotherapy, dentistry, nutrition, speech therapy, ophthalmology, optometry, orthopedics, and psychology.
Juan Carlos Martín Caviedes, Mayor of the municipality, said that this day satisfies the basic needs of the civilian population, which received with gratitude this excellent work carried out by all the institutions that came together.
Additionally, with the support of the Colombia Battalion and the Circus Colombia of the Fifth Division of the Army and the Cafam Family Compensation Fund, children and adults enjoyed various recreational activities such as clown show, dances, juggling and games that were amaizing for all.
Captain Eduardo Calle Correa, Professional Officer of the Reserve and representative of the Arturo Calle Foundation, affirms that in order to make this day possible, qualified personnel were trained to meet the needs of the population and respond favorably to the initiative of the National Army which is a good effort in the frame of its commitment to the wellbeing of the country.
The Military School of Non-Commissioned Officers Sergeant Inocencio Chincá, joined this great activity through the group Evolución Vallenata that with the interpretation of this Colombian rhythm make the public of Nilo warm up.
The pets in the same way had a special space where they were attended by veterinary medical personnel in charge of their vaccination, deworming and in some cases sterilization.
The 50 members of the medical mission, the 40 volunteers of logistic support along with the officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers who joined this cause, arrived early with the best energy and willingness to provide their best service to the more than 1800 inhabitants of Nilo and hamlets such as Malachí, Limones, Bella Vista, Los Vientos, San Jerónimo, Belén, Buenos Aires, La Sonoro, Mesa Baja, among other people that entered the facilities of the School of Soldiers to receive the benefits of this great day .
