The operational effort of the mounted squads has left important results against crimes such as cattle rustling in the department of Arauca.
Troops of the Task Force Quiron in a joint work with the National Police and the Colombian Agricultural Institute ICA could in the in recent hours the recovery of 114 heads of cattle in two operations of territorial control in the department of Arauca.
The first one was carried out in the village of Bogotá, capital city, the mounted platoons that were carried outing their mission in the early hours of the morning, they noticed the movement of large numbers of cattle, which caught the assistance of the troop that initiated the approach towards the point where the individuals undertook the flight; leaving abandoned 70 heads of cattle that evidently intended to transport by the river Cabuyares.
In another incident reported in the village of Mata Gallina of the same municipality, where the timely denunciation of the owner of 44 cattle and the good reaction of the soldiers of the National Army and the National Police carabineros that immediately began the search for the entire sector , managing to prevent that these were stolen and later commercialize them.
After the recovery of bovines whose commercialization would reach a cost of approximately 170 million pesos; in both procedures it was possible to contact the owners to distribut the animals immediately; The National Army continues to deploy its best efforts in this area of the country to provide security and protect the regional economy.
