Sucre. 453 inhabitants of the municipality of El Crucero, in the municipality of Sampués, in the department of Sucre, where the biggest council of the Zenú indigenous community is based, received medical assistance as part of the Development Support Activity organized by the National Navy with the support of municipal institutions and private enterprises.
50 dental surgeries, 35 cytology consultations, 30 phono audiology assessments and 160 general medicine assessments were carried out. In addition, beauty services were served, Sisbén's id’s distribution took place, medicines were handed over, and 5,000 liters of potable water were provided. In the same way, different recreational activities were carried out aimed at children and young people of the Zenú indigenous community, and members of the community of the region; these people are mostly in in charge of handicrafts and agriculture.
The activity was carried out by the Marine Infantry Battalion No.14 under the leadership of the Navy Infantry Brigade No.1 and in coordination with the Professional Officers Reserve of the Navy, the Municipal Mayor's Office, the Ministry of Health, the Civil Defense and the “Milius” Beauty Academy.
