Chocó. In the framework of the permanent operation of the National Navy against drug trafficking, it was possible to find 660 gallons of illegal fuel, in a fluvial search and control operation, carried out by the Infantry Battalion No.16, on the Atrato River in the municipality of Río Sucio, in the department of Chocó.
At the time of search of the rudimentary boat, the individual transporting the fuel, did not have the Certificate of Lack of Reports for Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs (CCITE in Spanish), nor the certificate of Management of Substances and Controlled Chemicals, documentation that is required for the transportation of this material, so it is presumed that the fuel would be used by outlaw groups for the production of cocaine hydrochloride.
During the operation, no captures were reported. The material was put into custody of the National Police in Río Sucio (Chocó).
