Thanks to the rapid reaction and deployment of the troops of the Mechanized Cavalry Group No. 3 'General José María Cabal', military unit of the Twenty-Third Brigade, an illegal warehouse with abundant war material was found and destroyed.
This important result was produced thanks to information provided by the Civic Participation Network, about the possible discovery of explosive devices, immediately a military operation framed in the Bicentennial Plan Heroes de la Libertad, led to find the hideout in a wooded area in this municipality.
Approximately 300 kilograms of explosive R-1 were discovered, which apparently belonged to the Residual organized armed group GAO-r structure 48.
The entire material was destroyed under controlled conditions in the place, by the EXDE explosives and demolitions team, of the National Army.
