In Villa del Rosario, in the department of Norte de Santander, the Support Command of Comprehensive Action and Development through its Brigade of Comprehensive Action No.1 participates in the volunteering called by the National Association of Businessmen of Colombia (ANDI in Spanish).
In coordination with the National Army, through the Thirtieth Brigade, the Comprehensive Action and Development Command with its Comprehensive Action Brigade No.1 and its team “Fe en Colombia,” participated in the first activity of “Vamos Colombia” in 2019, which took place in Villa del Rosario, in the department of Norte de Santander, which included six fronts of work such as the María Inmaculada Technical Institute, the Policarpa Salavarrieta primary school and the Turbay Ayala School with embellishment of internal facades and halls, planting of gardens, creation and joint painting of murals and embellishment of the main field.
With the Fe in Colombia team and the soldiers of the Brigade of Comprehensive Action No.1 there was a participation in other fronts established by the National Association of Employers of Colombia (ANDI) such as support with labor and work materials for the project Marroquinería CIEL (leather) and the maintenance of the Bicentenario historical memory project of cocoa conducted at the General Santander Museum House, where a cleaning, pruning and sowing activity was in the same way carried out.
"We are here in Norte de Santander with volunteers from different companies and we have the help of the Army, Police, Civil Defense and Faith in Colombia. What we want is that people put themselves in the shoes of others and see what we can not see from our cities and from our comfort zone, what we do here is for as a day of work," said Daniel Segura, a project consultant of the ANDI Foundation.
More than 100 volunteers from companies such as Nacional de Chocolates, Roa (rice), Centrales Eléctricas del Norte de Santander, Comfanorte Family Compensation Fund, Cemex Colombia, Fundación Bolívar, Daedificio, Bancolombia and Juan Valdez participated in this great initiative.
This experience has a successful antecedent that was called 'Vamos Palmarito', conducted in a municipality two hours from the urban area of the city of Cúcuta which is part of the rural area of the northern capital city of Norte de Santander. These initiatives that aim to strengthen the empowerment of the community and its organizational structure, transfer useful knowledge to their common projects and strengthen the social fabric; they will continue to be supported by the National Army and its different units.
