As part of the international strategy of the Colombian Air Force to strengthen good relations with the Government of Ecuador and its Military Forces and increase the operational capabilities of both countries, the officer pilot of the Arava aircraft, attended training at the Ecuadorian Army Aviation Group No.44 'Pastaza', at the Amazonas River airport, in the city of Shell, Ecuador.
During the training, different tactical-level missions were carried out, such as the STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) approaches that help train on take-off and landing on short runways, training for emergencies, possible failures and recovery of losses, in order to maximize the use of this type of aircraft during the different missions that are carried out in both countries, especially in areas of difficult access.
