Troops of the Quiron Task Force, in military operations that are being carried out in the department of Arauca, captured an individual accused of belonging to the Network of Support to Terrorism of the GAO - Eln.
The effective military operation took place in the hamlet known as Los Aceites, a rural area of the municipality of Tame, where the troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No.30 carried out permanent patrols, obtaining the discovery and capture of this individual.
The capture of this man known by the alias 'Toco Loco', 26, with more than eight years in criminality. He was in charge of managing the money collection from extortions made against merchants, cattlemen and transporters of the department, strengthening the finances of this armed group; he is also accused of participating in 2017 in the attack on some trucks of the National Army in the sector of Betoyes.
In addition, 'Toco Loco', said to belong to the group 'Martha Helena Barón' of Eln, had capture warrant in force for the crime of rebellion. He is said to commit crimes in the villages Aceites, Barcelona, Carraos, Bucare, Cravo Charro , Algarrobo, Flor Amarillo, Corocito, Betoyes and the municipality center of Tame.
