Intense search and rescue efforts, carried out by Units of the Navy of Colombia, in coordination with the National Army, recovered the lifeless body of a girl under three years of age, who had disappeared in La Tagua sector of the Caquetá River, when she was with his mother.
According to the information received from the relatives, the minor of age was playing on the riverbank, accompanied by her mother, when she submerged in the water, and was dragged by the current. Immediately, the family alerted the authorities, who deployed a search and rescue operation, which led to the finding of the minor's lifeless body, in La Tagua sector. Members of the Technical Investigation Corps of the Prosecutor's Office traveled to the place, where they conducted the forensic procedures.
The Colombian Navy send its condolences to the family of the girl for this unfortunate event and invites the community to take security measures in the rivers and wetlands of the south of the country. In the same way, it reaffirms its commitment to support emergency situations.
