The Training Center for Peace Operations, successfully completed the closing of the Technical French course for Peace Maintenance Operations No. 4, thought for the Officers and NCOs and Marine Infantry men of the Navy of Colombia, who demonstrated skills in learning French.
The ceremony was chaired by the Commander of the Marine Infantry Training Base, Brigadier General of Marine Infantry Ricardo Ernesto Vargas Cuéllar, a French Army Officer, permanent instructor of the Argentine Training Center for Peace Operations, and other delegated officers who accompanied the ceremony.
This 70 hours training was carried out from February 18 to March 1, 2019, with 16 students including 9 NCOs and 7 infantrymen.
The course was supported by three instructors of the French Alliance. The objective was to train men of the Colombian Military Forces in basic aspects of the French language, focused on technical terminology used by military contingents, during peacekeeping operations in French-speaking countries, for the execution of tasks such as checkpoints of control, observation checkpoints and patrols.
