In a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, in "Angel" configuration, the aeromedical evacuation of a 38-year-old man who had a snake bite on his right arm and an elder adult with hypertension and diabetes, both from the municipality, was conducted in the hamlet Mandé, municipality of Urrao, in the department of Antioquia.
In coordination with the National Center for Recovery of personnel-CNRP, the aircraft reacted in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the call of the community, to reach this municipality, since it is not possible to transport people by land because there are no roads and people transit by animal traction.
During the flight, the medical staff treated the two patients, providing oxygen to one of them and keeping them stable, while they were taken to the Health Air Program in Medellin, where they were waited by ambulances belonging to their respective Health Promoting Institutions - EPS, for transporting them to a health center and provide them with specialized medical assistance.
