In order to strengthen the health services, in favor of the users and beneficiaries of the Health Subsystem of the Military Forces and the Navy of Colombia, with the support of the Naval Command, a ceremony presided over by the Vice Minister of Defense for the Social and Entrepreneurial Group of Defense (GSED), Gonzalo Muñoz Arboleda, the assistance of the General Director of Military Health and the director of the Central Military Hospital, where the Intensive Care Unit for adults was inaugurated as well as a wastewater treatment facility, the new customer service offices, the external consultation offices and the pathology laboratory of the Naval Hospital of Cartagena.
This work was carried out taking into account that this is the only high complexity hospital within the Subsystem of Health of the Military Forces, with a projection of reference at regional level for the three Branches, with the vision of strengthening the comprehensive networks in parallel to the assistance of the Central Military Hospital. All this carrying out the ARTEMISA plan (Recovery and Strengthening Project of the Naval Hospital of Cartagena). Thus, the military forces comply with the regulatory framework and work for the satisfaction of users. Coverage is given to the new Model of Comprehensive Health Care, giving relevance to quality and also to the provision of health services.
