In the framework of the program Fe en Colombia, the Fifth Brigade of the Second Division of the National Army, through its tactical units, over the weekend brought development and wellbeing to the families of the region, with two Support Activities for the development.
In the municipality Galán, in the department of Santander, about 1,500 inhabitants of the sector, benefited from the services in general medicine, dentistry, psychology, nursing and personal care provided by staff of the Galán Battalion with the support and efforts made by the Professional officers of the Reserve and the Municipal Mayor's Office.
On the other hand, in the municipality of San Pablo, south of the department of Bolivar, 4,200 people of the urban and rural areas received assistance in general medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, dental laboratory, optometry, personal care and recreation, thanks to the conducted operation by soldiers of the Nueva Granada Battalion with the support of the Civil Affairs staff of the United States Embassy, the Municipal Mayor's Office, San Pablo Hospital, the Colombian Family Wellbeing Institute, the Sisbén office, the Marlene Beauty Academy, the Santo Tomas University, among others.
During these activities, children could in the same way enjoy the joy brought by the soldiers, who with games, music and playful activities, in the same way received presents and lots of fun.
These activities are part of the inter-institutional approach with the population, especially in isolated sectors where, due to lack of resources and extensive distances, the population does not easily count on these services.
