After plenary session held in the elliptical hall of the national capitol, representatives to the chamber gave their support to Bill No. 234 of 2018 "Through which veterans of the Security forces are recognized, honored and benefited ... "
The bill that now continues its legislative process in the Senate of the Republic, aims to benefit 130 thousand retired police and military, about 15,000 disabled and 400 veterans of the Korean War.
Minister Guillermo Botero accompanied the discussion and approval of the Bill, and thanked the representatives for their support to all the retired people of the Security forces of the country: "It is important that this Project continue its process in the Senate of the Republic (...) the veterans of this country will be grateful to all of you. "
The bill proposes the creation of Veterans Day and economic benefits and incentives in education and employment.
