With UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters of the Air Combat Command No.5, an internal and external cargo transportation mission is carried out, carrying material for the construction of a school that will benefit the indigenous communities of Caliche and Penderisco in the municipality of Urrao, they are approximately 35 tons of material; about 20 tons are already in place.
Experienced crews of the Colombian Air Force were designated to carry out this important mission, which requires accuracy and knowledge of the terrain to maneuver the aircraft with the material effectively and safely.
It is expected that with the foundation of this Rural Education Center, more than 50 children living in the area have access to education and the guarantee of their constitutional rights.
This operation carried out by the Air Institution takes place in coordination with the Government of Antioquia, Empresas Públicas de Medellín and the municipal administration, joining efforts to improve the quality of life of the indigenous people of the Department.
