Troops of the National Army in joint, coordinated and interinstitutional military operations with the Air Force, the National Police and the Attorney General of the Nation, in the south of Bolivar, neutralized alias 'Juan' or 'Mono Cristian', head of the front 'Alfredo Gómez Quiñonez' and head of finances of the front of war Darío Ramírez Castro of the Organized Armed Group Eln.
Alias 'Juan' or 'Mono Cristian', 42, entered the ranks of the ELN in 2001 making part of the front 'Heroes de Anorí' where, in 2008, he became head of squad. In 2013, he became head of the company 'Tito Marín' and continued his criminal experience in October 2015 being part of the front 'Luis José Solano Sepúlveda', where in November of that year he received the finances group.
In 2018 he became head of the front 'Alfredo Gómez Quiñonez' and nowadays he served as finance chief of the war front 'Darío Ramírez Castro', which completes a criminal experience of more than 17 years in the organized armed group - Eln.
As it could be established, in February 2018 he would have been the brain of the attack perpetrated against the police checkpoint of the municipality of Norosí, in the department of Bolívar. In the same way he ordered in March 2018 the attack on the troops of the Jungle Battalion No.48 in the Mina Nieve sector of this municipality. Alias Juan or Mono Cristian was designated to participate in the murder of three citizens in events occurred in 2017 and 2018 in the municipalities of Norosí and El Arenal.
In the middle of the operation carried out in rural area of the village La Cañada, municipality of El Arenal, troops found abundant war material including three long firearms, two pistols, a submachine gun, 12 magazines of various calibers, two grenades of hand, 200 cartridges, as well as communications equipment and other elements that at this time are verified by military intelligence analysts.
