In territorial control operations, under the Bicentenario plan Heroes de la Libertad, troops of the Omega Joint Task Force in the municipality of Vistahermosa, in the department of Meta, found and subsequently destroyed a camp with abundant explosives and war material.
The soldiers of the National Army arrived in the hamlet Laureles, where they found gas cylinders, oxygen cylinders, compressors and a lathe; elements used in the elaboration of improvised explosives.
In the same way, once the entire area was inspected, the soldiers found 533 cartridges of different calibers, 81 anti-personnel mines, 28 improvised manufacturing 60-grenades, 100 explosive devices and parts of war material.
Once the area was secured, experts in Explosives and Demolitions destroyed the material under controlled conditions.
