Yilber Donaldo García López, known in the narco-terrorist structures by the alias 'Tocayo Guaraca', was the main leader of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, residual, substructure 49, responsible for the procurement and marketing of coca base paste and cocaine hydrochloride in the south of the department of Caquetá.
In military operations carried out by troops of the National Army and military intelligence, in coordination with the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) of Caquetá, it was possible to capture the maximum ringleader of the residual substructure 49, alias 'Tocayo Guaraca', considered the Coordinator of the southern routes of Caquetá for the commercialization of narcotics.
The operation that led to this blow against narcoterrorism in the Colombian Amazonas had been carried out several months ago, with information from human sources and denunciations made by the community, which were the key to find this individual, who was in the vicinity of the Chamber of Commerce of Florencia, in Caquetá, where the troops of the Rincón Quiñonez Mechanized Group arrived, to capture him.
Alias 'Tocayo Guaraca' had more than 15 years of crime experience in the extinct front 49 of the Farc. After the signing of peace agreements he returned to illegality by participating in different criminal acts, assuming control of several routes for the transit of alkaloids, in addition to the production through drug laboratories.
The man is accused of trafficking and commercialization of cocaine, in addition to carry out criminal activities such as kidnapping and extortion. This individual was put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office 162 specialized against criminal organizations and must face charges for the crime of aggravated conspiracy.
It is noteworthy that, from January 1, 2019 to date, the Military Forces have reported the death in military operations of 25 members of the Residual GAO, the capture of 396 and the voluntary surrender, by pressure of the troops, of 3 members of GAOs, making 424 neutralizations of members of these organized armed groups.
