4,082 vaccines against Poliomelitis, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Measles, Rubella, Mumps, Rotavirus, Pneumonia, among other vaccines were given to 1,409 users of the Military Forces Health Subsystem during the Vaccination Week in the Americas (SVA in Spanish).
The vaccination activity at national level was carried out from April 20 to 27 by the General Directorate of Military Health, through the Military Health Establishments of the National Army, Naval Health and the Chief of Health of the Colombian Air Force, benefiting men, women and children who approached the different attention posts.
Vaccination Week in the Americas (SVA in spanish) is an annual initiative supported by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), where the main objective is to provide equity and access to vaccination to the entire population. This year the 17th anniversary of the Vaccination Week and the 8th World Immunization Week were commemorated.
