These operational results in the same way help the Army in the department of Huila to overwhelmingly hit criminal groups of drug trafficking.
Through interdiction work of the troops of the Infantry Battalion No.26 'Cacique Pigoanza', of to the Ninth Brigade, in coordination with the Technical Investigation Corps, they found 47 kilos of marijuana hidden among sacks of oranges, which were transported on the way Inzá, in the department of Cauca, to the municipality of La Plata, in the department of Huila.
The events occurred thanks to the checkpoint of the troops of the National Army, on the sector of the village El Dinde, in La Plata. There the military gave the order to stop the passenger transport vehicle, type chiva, and proceeded to the inspection.
In the detailed procedure on the vehicle and thanks to the expertise of the soldiers they found six yellow bags, which were hidden among bags of orange. It was established that it was equivalent to 47 kilos of marijuana.
The hallucinogen that has a cost in the illicit market of approximately 16 million 450 thousand pesos was found by the authorities and put into custody of the local prosecutor's office of the municipality of Tesalia in the department of Huila.
These results will help the Army of Huila to overwhelmingly hit criminal groups of drug trafficking, and also to ratify its commitment to the constitutional mission of defending the territory and the sovereignty of Colombians for everyone’s wellbeing.
