With a march through the main streets of Cravo Norte, in the department of Arauca, the Heroes of the Bicentenary of the Task Force Quiron, with creative posters, created awareness of good practices in waste management and consumption, in search of a sustainable lifestyle.
Troops of the Eighteenth Brigade commemorated in Arauca, the World Recycling Day, date established by UNESCO as a strategy to make society aware of the importance of the adequate treating of waste in order to preserve natural resources.
To commemorate this day the Artillery Battalion No.18 'General José María Mantilla', hand in hand with the municipal administration, made in the municipality of Cravo Norte different integration and awareness activities around this event, which in the same way had the support of the National Police, the local hospital, schools and the community.
With a march through the main roads of the urban area in which around 500 people participated, a massive call was made to habitants and visitors to improve their practices in waste management and consumption, in search of a sustainable lifestyle.
In this way, the Bicentenary Heroes of the National Army demonstrate every day that their commitment to protect the territory not only refers to security issues, but in the same way environmental issues and everything that generates wellbeing for the population.
At the same time, this Military Unit makes a special recognition to those people who are conducting this noble operation of recycling and trying to reverse the effects that climate change has brought.
