Norte de Santander. In the framework of the Esparta Military and Police Campaign, troops belonging to the Vulcano Task Force, with support of the National Army's Narcotics Brigade, jointly and coordinated with the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, have achieved in the in recent hours in the rural area of the municipality of Tibú, in the department of Norte de Santander, the dismantling of two laboratories belonging to the Residual Organized Armed Group GAO-r 33, which used this laboratories for the production of illicit substances.
The illegal structures, in the village Angalia, stored 1,045 gallons of gasoline, 859 of ketone, 177 gallons of sulfuric acid, 80 hydrochloric acid and 66 gallons of DIESEL and 2,500 kilograms of calcium chloride, 100 kilos of caustic soda, 100 kilograms of meta bisulfite and 50 kilograms of coal, substances used in the manufacture of the alkaloid.
In the same way, a rudimentary distillation tower (Martian), two homemade evaporators (worms), 11 microwave ovens, five electrical panels, two electric pumps, three hydraulic presses, six precision scales and 300 tags, among other elements, were found.
The laboratories had a production capacity of up to 3,000 kilograms of cocaine per month and would be valued at approximately 7,000 million pesos, an important figure that hits the financial capacity of GAO-r 33, a structure that commits crimes in this area of the country.
