In military operations supported by the troops of the Quiron Task Force, in the department of Arauca, continue to hit the outlaw organized armed groups, whose number of captured members is increasing, thus weakening their criminal abilities.
Units of the Eighteenth Brigade arrived at the hamlet Agua Linda, in the municipality of Arauca with the support of the SIJIN (JUDICIAL POLICE) and the Technical Investigation Corps, to capture two individuals, who allegedly belonged to the Residual organized armed group, Structure First.
One of them is alias 'Llanero', a trusted man and member of the first security group of alias 'Pescado', military ringleader of the criminal structure. Apparently he was in charge of carrying out activities related to the training and military command of the base guerrillas, the recruitment of foreigners and criminal intelligence in his area of interference in the villages La Pesquera, Manantiales, Filipinas, Caño Azul, Tres Cruces, Bocas Del Ele, Galaxia, Corocora, El Vigía and Nuevo Mundo in the municipality of Arauquita.
The second captured is alias 'Maicol', accused of the crimes of rebellion and homicide in protected person. With 15 years in the organization, he served as coordinator of the network of militias in the municipalities of Arauca and Arauquita; he is reported to have ordered multiple selective homicides, attacks on military caravans, attacks on the facilities of the Infantry Marine Infantry Battalion, the theft of vehicles of the National Protection Unit (UNP) and extortions against the different unions.
The military operation led to the discovery of two shotguns, a pistol and two magazines. These materials together with those apprehended were put into custody of the authorities.
