The Bajo Cauca region Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) invites people to continue to report in a timely manner on lines 146 and 147 any activity that disturbs the tranquility of the community.
As a result of the continuous work of the Aquiles Joint Task Force, in coordination with the National Police, in the last few hours it was possible to release a citizen who was apparently being kidnapped by the organized armed group GAO Clan del Golfo, in the municipality of Cáceres, Antioquia.
The kidnapped was found with blows all over his body, disoriented, tied hands and feet with ropes and cables, which decreased blood circulation, in the same way he was found in terrible sanitary conditions. At the time of being rescued, this person claimed that he was going to be killed by this illegal group.
This operation, which was carried out within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan, was carried out in the Guarumo village, of the aforementioned municipality.
The victim is already at home with his relatives and partners, resuming his life with total normalcy.
Finally, the National Army will continue to combat the problems of kidnapping and extortion in the subregions of Bajo Cauca, Antioquia and South of Córdoba, in joint operations with the National Navy and the Air Force, coordinating efforts with the National Police and interinstitutional with the Attorney General's Office, in order to prevent such operations against civilians from occurring again.
