Thanks to the coordinated work conducted by the Colombian Air Force and different public and private institutions, more than 138 children and adolescents, including minors with disabilities, who enjoyed an aeronautical day at the José María Córdova airport, in Rionegro Antioquia.
The minors who participated in the activity with their families had the opportunity to get to know different types of aircraft up close, including the Boeing 787 commercial passenger transport aircraft and the Uh-60 helicopter of the Air Combat Command No. 5, and also its crew and the mission they carry out to save lives anywhere in the national territory.
In the same way, the children of the Funavid Colombia Foundations of Medellín, the Huracán de Sueños Foundation of Rionegro, Ángeles Custodios and Corporación de Equinoterapia de La Ceja, enjoyed the demonstrations of the aeronautical workshops, model airplane show and recreational activities.
This activity led by Fundación Alianza Compromiso de Corazón and Avianca, in alliance with the Colombian Air Force, the National Army, National Police, Colombian Firefighters, Colombian Civil Defense among others, gave these little ones a great dose of joy and happiness in an activity full of surprises and moments that will be engraved in their hearts.
Thus, the Air Institution is permanently linked to activities like this that tend to bring smiles and emotional moments to children in the region, especially to people in vulnerable situations.
