Within the framework of the Ayacucho Campaign Plan and after an intelligence work carried out by National Army troops, in the municipality of Bello, north of the metropolitan area of the Aburrá Valley, in the department of Antioquia, it was possible to arrest 18 individuals who apparently belonged to the organized gang La Torre and El Pinal.
At the time of the arrests, these people were surprised while carrying out illegal mineral gathering work in a two-hectare area, where a mining production unit and three excavators were found by troops, which were disabled at the scene and put into custody of the authorities.
With this result it was possible to hit the illegal activities of this organized gang, for a cost of more than 900 million pesos, in the same way stops the damage caused to the soil, plants and the displacement of their natural habitat of animals on the way to extinction.
The National Army troops continue to deploy their resources to protect natural resources and continue to hit the logistical and criminal structures of the organized armed groups that commit crimes in this region of the country.
