In compliance with the “Heroes de Libertad” Bicentenary Campaign Plan, through the Navy Brigade No.4, the Coast Guard station and the Tumaco Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), through search operations ordered by the Attorney General's Office of the Nation, the capture of three alleged members of the residual structure “Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico” is achieved in the Llanaje village, in the municipality of Francisco Pizarro, in the department of Nariño.
During the operation it was possible to find a rifle, a gun, a revolver, four magazines, cartridges of different calibers, 1.6 kilograms of coca paste and more than nine million pesos in cash. The three individuals were put into custody of to the authorities.
In turn, through river operations of comprehensive security, control and surveillance, carried out in the area of Bajito Vaquería of the municipality of Tumaco, troops of the Navy Brigade No. 4 and the Battalion Against Drug Trafficking No. 4, achieved the immobilization of four motorboats that after a chase by the military units were abandoned. At the time of the inspection it was evidenced that they had inside 374 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride, which would belong to the group “Guerrillas Unidas del Pacífico”.
