As part of the combined military exercises conducted by the United States and Colombia, carried out in Tolemaida, the Colombian Air Force participates with the aircraft of the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, demonstrating once again its interoperability in the first binational operation.
Cassa C-295 and Hercules C-130 were the aircraft arranged for this binational exercise where an operation was simulated to be conducted by the armies of the United States and Colombia. The operation was performed by 150 paratroopers from both countries.
The exercise was carried out with NATO international protocols. This led the military to understand in one language the orders and instructions to neutralize the attack and capture the head of the terrorist group.
Exercises of this caliber are indispensable for the combined work and strengthening of relations with the United States in the fight against transnational crime.
