Colombian Air Force spread its wings to provide aid in the municipality El Peñol
Mrs María and Mr Jorge are a married couple who are beneficiaries of the Health System of the Military Forces and have been receiving medical care for more than three years at the Air Combat Command No.5, due to their health conditions they attend the Military Health Establishment on a frequent basis, where they are treated by the professionals of this Air Base.
They have been together for 67 years and "one is the cane of the other" as Mrs. María affirms, she is 84 years old and he is 87, they live alone in the municipality of El Peñol in the department of Antioquia, they have never been separated and due to the health emergency in the country, these older adults cannot move or leave their homes for medical check-ups and claim the medicines they must take daily.
For this reason, the Colombian Air Force supported the noble cause and came home with the doctors, who voluntarily and fulfilling their vocation of service as professionals in the area of health and as military, examined them, check their vital signs, temperature control, tension and military also gave them medications.
They, the heroes dressed in white, do not stay at home, they continue working, this time they did not wait for their patients in their consultation offices, they took the offices to that area, extending a hand as a sign of solidarity with the people who are most at risk and with whom protection measures should be increased.
