In a joint effort with the Arturo Calle Foundation, soldiers of the 13th Brigade of the National Army distributed food aid to two homes for the elderly in Anolaima, Cundinamarca.
With a truck loaded with aid represented in food and non-perishable food, the soldiers of the Infantry Battalion No.28 “Colombia” and personnel of the Foundation, arrived first at the Elderly Wellbeing Center where they made the first distribution with which the feeding of 94 elderly was possible. They live there and during these days of the pandemic have not been able to see their families or receive visits. "You help us provide a decent life, a decent diet and an excellent old age for all of them, God bless you," said Angela Trejos, director of the place.
Subsequently, the soldiers came to the second place inhabited by 21 elderlys, in the rural area of the municipality, where humanitarian support was in the same way distributed to cope with these days of mandatory preventive isolation, "Thank you very much, the fight is not easy for anyone, but if we are united we can do better and get through this crisis,” said Edith Valenzuela director of the home.
