Thanks to the work of the Unified operation Groups for Personal Liberty, the Swiss citizen Daniel Max Guggenheim, retired from Banco Courts, serving the United Kingdom, and the Brazilian citizen José Iban Alburqueque García, returned to freedom.
Troops of the National Army, in a major inter-institutional operation with the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office, Daniel Max Guggenheim and José Iban Alburqueque García were rescued. They had been kidnapped on March 16 by the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Sixth Structure, Dagoberto Ramos Mobile Column, in the municipality of Corinto, Cauca.
Thanks to the intelligence work of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Cundinamarca, soldiers of the Rapid Deployment Force No.4 find the victims in a house in the department of Cauca, a place where they would have been taken after being kidnapped.
At the time of the rescue, the soldiers captured a member of the Mobile Column Dagoberto Ramos, who was in charge of the security of the kidnapped. In the same way, there is communication equipment, with its respective security code. The weapon that this individual was carrying could not be recovered, since he left it in the escape attempt.
When the rescue took place, two dogs that accompanied them during captivity were in the same way recovered.
This result left six people rescued of the problem of kidnapping perpetrated by the Dagoberto Ramos Mobile Column.
The National Army invites the community to promptly report any presence of strangers in their communities on the national toll-free line 147, in order to act decisively against kidnapping and extortion.
