Those captured would become part of the financial structure of the organized criminal group, GDO, La Empresa, and would be in charge of shipping narcotics from seaports in Colombia to different places in the United States and Europe.
Troops of the National Army, in the Operation José Inocencio Chincá against Drug Trafficking, in coordination with the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation, the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) and the DEA, and attending to early warnings No. 041 and 059 of 2018, captured two members of the GDO (Organized crime group) La Empresa, who have current processes for drug trafficking and money laundering in the United States.
The operation, which was carried out in the urban area of the municipality of Envigado, Antioquia, had the information provided by the Civic Participation Network, led to soldiers and units of the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) captured alias Fabio and alias Marión, who would become part of a transnational drug trafficking network, which was neutralized thanks to this inter-institutional work.
This illegal network would be operating in a coordinated manner to traffic narcotics from the south of the country, in the departments of Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Nariño to the main seaports in Urabá, Antioquia and Buenaventura to later ship them and market them in the United States, Spain and the Netherlands. Those captured would have several front companies in Colombia to launder money from drug trafficking.
Alias Fabio or El Señor, one of the captured, would be an active member of the GDO La Empresa, in charge of finances and the collection of illicit money from Europe and the United States; apparently he was in charge of coordinating with criminal structures the transport and marketing of narcotic drugs to seaports in Colombia.
For his part, alias Marión, would be the trusted man of alias Fabio, and would be coordinating issues related to the front men, and would be in charge of receiving money from drug trafficking, and would make payments for narcotics from Medellín to the southwestern region of the country.
