In support of children and adolescents in the country, soldiers of the National Army and its program Fe en Colombia, in coordination with the departmental Assembly of Casanare, carried out a book distribution activity in two schools in the municipalities of Pore and Sacama.
After a successful activity called The Great Donaton (donation) of books, conducted in previous months by the Support Battalion of Comprehensive Action and development No.8 and the Fe in Colombia program of the National Army in support of the Eighth Division, it was possible to collect more than 800 copies of all areas of knowledge, thanks to the active participation of the citizens and the collaboration on the part of the Corporación Unificada Nacional (National Unified Corporation - CUN).
The first major event took place in the municipality of Pore where 435 students of the Antonio Nariño school of La Plata benefited; as well as 278 students of the Antonio Nariño school of the municipality of Sácama, where the president of the departmental Assembly, Deputy York Cortés Peña, said: “it is important to generate investment and support spaces, which promote the education of children in Casanare; as well as the constant and coordinated work with public and private institutions, in order to directly assist in the intellectual development of future generations of the Department."
