Since the beginning of the quarantine by the COVID-19 virus, the colombian Air Force, through the military personnel of the Air Combat Command No.7, has travelled to different municipalities in order to visit indigenous communities in the southwest of Colombia to bring humanitarian aid, for the benefit of the collective wellbeing.
On this occasion, the donations were to the indigenous community Wounaan, located in the village of Los Andes, Siloe, made up of 153 members, who received biosecurity, educational, footwear and clothing equipment.
With these contributions, more than 50 children of different ages were benefited. With the delivery of the project we sought to contribute to the quality of life of this community and, in addition, to provide protection in terms of safety and personal health against the eventuality that the country is experiencing.
Through these service actions, the colombian Air Force demonstrates its commitment to the colombian people, offering help to the indigenous communities, which represent a cultural heritage in society. Social responsibility work will continue to be developed, in coordination with other public and private institutions that have provided these donations.
