In a coordinated effort by the Colombian Navy and government agencies, a new humanitarian aid activity was carried out in the Montes de María region.
The activity led by the Navy Infantry Battalion No.14 of the Colombian Navy, was held in the municipality of Chengue, in Ovejas, Sucre, where 120 families benefited with care in general Medicine, vaccination and cytology.
With the support of the mayor's Office of Ovejas, The National Police, the Offices of Health, Education, Planning and municipal infrastructure, 2,345 humanitarian aid kits were provided, including liquid Bienestarina (food supplement) for children under the age of eight, food baskets, school kits and biosecurity elements to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Toys were in the same way given to children under 10 years of age attending the activity.
For its part, the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of Sucre accompanied the activity with an information stand which provided advice on how to prevent being a victim of crimes that attack against personal freedom, such as extortion and kidnapping, reminding the community that the Navy of Colombia is available to receive denunciations 24 hours a day, in the toll-free 147.
