The Colombian Navy assisted in the municipality of Sapzurro, municipality of Acandi, in Chocó, 94 migrants who had been abandoned in the sea when they intended to arrive in Central America.
Migrants of Haitian nationality were illegally transported in a boat named Jhosua bound for Panama. However, during the displacement, the boat's engines had technical faults, leaving 61 adults and 33 minors adrift.
The boat was assisted by a fishing boat, which towed this group of foreigners to the checkpoint of the Coast Guard Station of Urabá in the municipality of Sapzurro, in Acandi, in Chocó, then the Colombian Navy coordinated and carried out their transfer to Turbo, Antioquia, where they were put into custody of Migracion Colombia and the police of children and adolescents.
