Due to the emergency presented on Saturday night and early Sunday morning by the fire that took place in Riosucio, department of Chocó, were transported from Quibdó to this municipality about two tons of humanitarian aid and officers of the departmental that will provide risk management support.
The fire that occurred in the urban area of the municipality killed two of its inhabitants, and also caused irreparable damage to at least 72 houses.
Officers of the Unidad Nacional para la Gestión Del Riesgo de Desastres (National Unit for Disaster Risk Management) - UNGRD, arrived to provide support to the inhabitants. Besides personnel of the Colombian Air Force, Army, Navy and National Police, carried out debris removal and search of people.
The Colombian Air Force still alert in the city of Quibdó, attending different requirements, transporting a timely manner experts in risk management, as well as the Governor of the Department of Chocó, along with the First Lady and military authorities of the department, to conduct the assessment of the issue.
