To the municipality of San José del Guaviare were transported about 20 foreign people of the European Fund for peace in a Casa 295 aircraft of the Colombian Air Force, for the launch of an important project and the execution of an assembly that leaves as a result the signing of sustainable conservation agreements, proposals for more international cooperation projects, and environmental pacts follow-up, among others.
According to the requirement generated by the Guaviare Governorate, The Air Combat Command no.2, CACOM2, immediately carried out all administrative tasks to coordinate the personnel transport mission with the military transport Air Command, CATAM.
Michèle Ramis, Ambassador of France; Patricia Llombart, chief of the European Delegation, Marcos Gómez Martínez, Ambassador of Spain; Rocco Busco, chief cooperation of Italy and delegates of the Ministry of Environment, of The Land Restitution Agency and the Rural Development Agency were part of this International Committee that seeks to finance the implementation of the operation called: Comprehensive Rural Development of Guaviare for peace, as part of the Project: Let’s Walk by Sustainable Territories, of the Andean National Forest Office (ONF Andina).
Within the framework of this activity, the European Fund will hold the second general assembly of partners, beneficiaries and key actors and the launch of the terramaz Amazonian territories project that gathers efforts against deforestation, development in the Amazonas, its fight against deforestation and the transition to sustainable development modes for the conservation of tropical forests.
The Colombian Air Force continues to carry out air operations in the priority area No.8 that contemplates the Department of Meta and Guaviare, to contribute to the achievement of the ends of the State, using the technical, logistical and human resources of its commands to reach any place of our country, and participate in the processes of consolidation and development of our departments for the socio-economic growth of our territories.
