As part of aeronautical infrastructure control, an inspection was carried out in the department of Atlántico.
In the course of a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Air Force and the National Police, 11 aircraft were detained due to non-compliance of Resolution 024 of June 10, 2006, issued by the National Narcotics Council, in which civil aviation control measures are established.
The aeronautical infrastructure control operation was carried out in three air terminals of the department of Atlántico, in which the required documents to fly over the International Airport Ernesto Cortissozt and the aerodromes Los Campanos and El Tambo were reviewed.
This type of operations are carried out to reduce the use of air assets and airport infrastructure by outlaw criminal organizations.
