This laboratory had the capacity to produce about 1,500 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride per month, which is equivalent to a cost of more than six billion pesos, the final price in the illegal drug market.
Troops of the National Army, in rural area of the Villa El Porvenir, in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, to the east of the Department of Meta, in coordination with the police and thanks to military intelligence work, found and destroyed a laboratory for the production of cocaine hydrochloride that belonged to the Organized Gang, GDO, Los Puntilleros, bloc Libertadores del Vichada.
After securing the area, the soldiers carried out the inspection of the place, where they found a wooden structure of 10 by 15 meters, with elements for the crystallization of the drug as well as a large amount of the drug ready for distribution.
In the site were found by troops 250 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride that would have costs more than 200 million pesos, 450 gallons of liquid precursors and 75 kilos of solid precursors together with elements necessary for the production of process of the drug, whose cost is about 72 million pesos.
This criminal structure intended to transfer the drug to the center of the country and from there to Venezuela, using routes through the Departments of Guaviare and Vichada.
In other events, soldiers of the seventh Brigade, in the sector known as El Mielón, in the municipality of Mapiripán, Meta, found and destroyed a laboratory of the residual organized armed group, Gao-residual, Estructura Primera, that would cost 250 million pesos.
This place had the capacity to produce monthly 300 kilos of coca base paste that would cost 600 million pesos, in the illegal drug trafficking market.
At this site, 50 gallons of liquid precursors, 75 kilos of solid precursors, a scythe and a chainsaw were found by troops and destroyed.
